I wanted you to know of the delightful dining experience my husband and I shared at the Crystal Dining Room last night for the New Orleans theme night. The variety of Creole style food was delicious! -- from the carving station of pork with mustard sauce, catfish, sweet potato crunch, rice, and special salad to the delicious desserts, including Red Velvet cake! If this wasn’t enough, the musicians that performed were excellent. The gentleman played the saxophone, flute, and rhythmic organ with popular New Orleans jazz music, and the lady who sang had a voice that sounded just like Karen Carpenter! It was very nice dinner music. I looked around the room as it began to fill up (we were in there from 4:30-5:30) and noticed residents tapping their feet to the music as they ate, as well as offering “requests” to be sung. I would say it was a HIT and your collaborative efforts with Elizabeth in Activities proved to be a great partnership. I hope this is offered again real soon. Thanks for a nice evening. Sincerely, Cindy
